At the insistence of the citizens of Künzelsau, a secondary school was established which, in addition to Latin, Greek and French, also taught Mathematics, Geometry, Technology, Geography and History.
From this time onwards the market town of Künzelsau was classified as a city, without, however, ever being documented as such. The pulpit was designed and constructed in by Leonhard Kern, a sculptor and woodcarver from the second major baroque atelier in Hohenlohe.
